About Us

Port Chester Seafood is located on 295 Midland Avenue, Port Chester, NY across from Path Mark. The shop sells a wide variety of fresh fish and seafood, including shrimp, lobster, scallops, flounder, and salmon just to name a few. We also serve lunch daily and offer a wide variety of prepared foods along with a catering menu.

What sets apart from other seafood markets is the fact that we go to the Fulton Fish Market every morning except on Saturday and Sunday. We pride ourselves in buying fish solely from the day boats. Which means we buy fish from boats that go out and return in the same day. Other than trip boats which could be at sea for 7-10 days. We fillet all of our fish on premises and all of our food is prepared daily.

Some of our services include cleaned shrimp, cooked lobsters, shellfish opened, poached salmon, and cooked shrimp platters. We also have senior day every Monday and Tuesday. 10% discount for all seniors on non cooked items. Home delivery is available. We can also ship seafood overnight anywhere in the United States.

Other Services

We can also ship seafood overnight to any where in the United States.

Our History

In the 1970's Louis Pirilli Sr. was working as a barber. But he had a close fisherman friend in Cape Cod Massachusetts and that was the seed of Port Chester Seafood. Pirilli would drive up to Cape Cod and fill up his van with seafood, peddling it to restaurants, supermarkets and hotels on the way back. Sometimes he would have 20 to 30 whole swordfish that he would deliver to Palmers market in Darien, CT. That was the end of the barber business.
Over a period a time he grew a strong bond with the fisherman and wholesalers in the northeast. At the same time he was developing a strong retail and wholesale clientele in Westchester and lower Connecticut.

Still peddling from his truck a location became available on Bowman ave in Port Chester, NY where he could rent a store front and sell to the public while maintaining his wholesale accounts.
With his connections in the northeast he now started to go to the Fulton fish market every morning where there was much more variety and he could still receive his product from Boston. In 1986 he purchase a lot on 295 Midland ave. where a 3800 square foot building was erected with a parking lot and all the latest amenities that it takes to run a fish market. It was also conveniently located adjacent to the two major highways with an 18 foot showcase, all stainless steel counters, 3 fillet tables, a walk in freezer and cooler, two lobster tanks with a capacity of 500 lbs, a kitchen, and a large prep area with a loading dock.  At that time it was state of the art.

Business had its ups and downs. But in 2001 Louis Pirilli Jr. jump started the retail store and featured more prepared foods including a lunch menu which was pleasantly successful.  At present Nick Madori, the NEW Owner maintains both the Wholesale division ( L.P. Wholesale Seafood) and the Retail (Port Chester Seafood).
